The lungs of athletes are significantly different from the lungs of untrained people. In the athlete’s lungs, additional “air sacs” are opened, increasing their capacity. And as blood supply increases, the lungs also receive more nutrition. They can supply the body with a large amount of oxygen, and due to an increase in the number of capillaries around the alveoli, gas exchange efficiency increases.

Mental health
